Continuing A Good Thing

Along with big payouts in the show ring and a full schedule of competitive events, APHA will continue the Challenge Series that debuted in 2000. The series is slated to include 4-Year-Old Cutting Challenge, 5 & 6-Year-Old Cutting Challenge, 3-Year-Old Reining Challenge, 4 & 5-Year-Old Reining Challenge and 4 & 5-Year-Old Working Cow Horse Challenge.

In 2010, APHA re-introduces the 3-Year-Old Cutting Challenge with $5,000 added to the Summer World Show.

The Team Penning Sweepstakes also returns to the 2010 Summer World Show, along the Freestyle Reining Sweepstakes and Team Roping Sweepstakes. Introduced in 2009, the well received Ranch Sorting Sweepstakes, Non-Pro Team Penning Sweepstakes and Non-Pro Ranch Sorting Sweepstakes will round out the Open and Amateur competition during the Summer portion of the World Show.

New for the 2010 Summer World Show, APHA will offer Open All-Breed jackpot classes to the list of offerings: team roping, team penning and ranch sorting.

The Fall World Show—scheduled for November 4 - 13, 2010—will include the 3-Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle Challenge and 3-Year-Old Western Pleasure Challenge.

Sweepstakes classes will include the Non-Pro 2-Year-Old Western Pleasure Sweepstakes and SPB 3 & 4-Year-Old Western Pleasure Sweepstakes, and Bridleless Western Pleasure Sweepstakes.
