UNOFFICIAL 2004 World Show Results

*The following are preliminary, unofficial results from APHA.

Tasha Bierman of Sandy, Utah, was the Reserve All-Around Youth 13 & Under winner. Riding Genuine Heathen, an 8-year-old red roan gelding, Tasha won a Championship in Western Riding 13 & Under and a Reserve Championship in Trail 13 & Under. The pair also had two additional top tens. Genuine Heathen was sired by Skipa Heathen and is out of Ima Time To Shine. Tasha was awarded a pair of Western boots, courtesy of Boulet; a bridle bag, courtesy of BMB.

Sammie Jo Stone of Springville, California, was not only the All-Around Youth 13 & Under winner, but also the recipient of the High Point English Youth award. Sammie Jo and her 11-year-old sorrel gelding, The Firm, have a long list of accomplishments of which to be proud. These include three World Championships and multiple Top 10s. The Firm was sired by Mr Fancy Bonanza and is out of Miss Band Bars Dee. For High-Point English Youth, Sammie Jo was awarded an English saddle, an English bridle and saddle pad, courtesy Charlotte’s Saddlery, and a bridle bag, courtesy of BMB. James Sauboulle of Acampo, California, was the Reserve All-Around Youth 14-18 winner. Riding Tonitesthenighthoney, a 9-year-old sorrel overo gelding, James received two World Championships, in Hunt Seat Equitation 14-18 and Western Riding 14-18. The duo also received two Top 10 finishes. Tonitesthenighthoney was sired by Investment By Choice and is out of Rusty Honey Bar. James was awarded a pair of Western boots, courtesy of Boulet; a bridle bag, courtesy of BMB.

Christina Mc Gurran of Los Gatos, California, was the All-Around Youth 14-18 winner. Christina and her 12-year-old bay overo gelding, Just Passing Thru, received numerous awards at the 2004 World Show. These include Reserve World titles in Hunter Hack and Horsemanship and four Top 10s. Just Passing Thru was sired by Pass Perfect and is out of Awhe Ha. Marcus Banister of Brighton, Colorado, was the High Point Western Youth winner. Marcus and his 5-year-old gelding, SI Masters Promise, received World Championships in Breakaway Roping 18 & Under and Heading 18 & Under. SI Masters Promise was sired by A Masters Plan and is out of Sacred Promise. Marcus was awarded a Western saddle, courtesy of Top Hand Tack; a bridle bag, courtesy of BMB; and a pair of Western boots, courtesy of Boulet.

Alisa Bernhard of Germantown, Wisconsin, was the Reserve All-Around Amateur winner. Alisa and her 7-year-old sorrel overo gelding, Fleetstreet Max, were the Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation World Champions. They also earned third-place finishes in Amateur Working Hunter and Amateur Trail and Top 10s in four other Amateur events. Alisa was awarded a pair of Western boots, courtesy of Boulet and spur straps, courtesy of Top Hand Tack.

Carly Veldman of Granger, Indiana, was the All-Around Amateur winner. Carly and her 9-year-old chestnut overo gelding, Picasso By Q, received high honors in numerous classes. These were Amateur Working Hunter World Champion, Amateur Western Riding World Champion and Amateur Trail Reserve World Champion. They also received Top 10s in four additional amateur events. Carly was awarded $1,000 cash, courtesy APHA; a 3-horse aluminum trailer, courtesy Hart Trailers; a Western saddle, courtesy Top Hand Tack; and a pair of full-quill ostrich boots, courtesy of Boulet.

Dianna MacDonald of Pilot Point, Texas, and Linda Rice of Pismo Beach, California, shared the 2004 World Show honor of All-Around Novice Amateur.

Dianna and her 13-year-old sorrel overo gelding, Rust On My Zipper, were the World Champions in Novice Amateur Western Horsemanship and the Reserve World Champions in Novice Amateur Western Riding and Novice Amateur Trail.

Linda and her 10-year-old sorrel overo gelding, Bumble Bee Dirty, earned World Championships in Novice Amateur Hunter Hack and Novice Amateur Showmanship. They were also fourth in Novice Amateur Hunter Under Saddle.

Charlie Cole of Pilot Point, Texas, was the High-Point Exhibitor of the World Show. This was Charlie’s third consecutive year to earn this title. Charlie competed on nine Paint Horses this year, winning top honors on four of them. These include, a World Championship in Utility Driving with Reddys Review, a World Championship in Senior Trail on Rust My Zipper and a World Championship in Junior Driving with Lynns Hot Luke. He also received a Reserve World Championship in Utility Driving with Oh Really. Charlie was awarded a product certificate for $7,500, courtesy of Barnmaster.

Cita Firefeeltheflame, a 5-year-old sorrel overo stallion, owned by Ronnie Lykins and Naomi Shanks of Bixby, Oklahoma, was named the High-Point Western Horse and received the Oscar Crigler Award. With Steve Orth in the saddle, they earned World Champions in Junior Heading and Junior Steer Stopping. They were also Reserve World Champions in Junior Heeling. Reddys Review, a 12-year-old sorrel overo gelding, owned by Shawnee Wayman of Salt Lake City, Utah, was the Reserve All-Around Horse winner. At the 2002 World Show, he earned the Super Gelding, High-Point English Horse and All-Around Horse Awards. At this year’s show, Reddys Review was exhibited by Charlie Cole, Jason Martin and Beth Case, all of Pilot Point, Texas. Reddys Review earned a World Championship in Utility Driving. He was also the Pleasure Driving Reserve World Champion, the Hunter Hack Reserve World Champion and the Amateur Pleasure Driving Reserve World Champion. Reddys Review received a Top 5 in Amateur Hunter Under Saddle and numerous Top 10s at the 2004 World Show. Totally By Choice, a 7-year-old gray overo gelding, owned by Courtney Folino of Coto De Casa, California, earned three prestigious awards at this year’s World Show, including the Super Gelding Award, All-Around Horse title, and High-Point English Horse award. Totally By Choice was the World Champion in Senior Hunter Hack. He also earned Reserve World Champion in Senior Working Hunter and third in Senior Pleasure Driving and Jumping.
